Everything except your sleeping gear should fit in a duffle
bag/day backpack
- You will be transporting this on a
travois, so keep it light!
ITEMS YOU
WILL CARRY WITH YOU THROUGH THE WILDERNESS
CLOTHING
- 2 Nephite Costumes – (will be worn at all times - adults and youth) must be roomy enough to put a coat on underneath – Make sure you can wear just your costume modestly if it is hot.
- Pants (should be worn underneath costume on the first day for the journey in the wilderness)
- Shorts, shirts to wear underneath costume (Church Standards)
- Satchel to carry a Book of Mormon, Liahona book & water bottle (Must carry with you - throughout Quest)
- PJ's & underwear
- Two pairs of shoes - one set "broken in" for hiking through the wilderness
- Five pair of socks
- Swim gear & towel - swim wear must be covered (Church standards - NO two-piece or speedos!)
- Rain Gear & Fleece Jacket
- Head covering - You will be given a bandana at the beginning of Quest –
No ball caps allowed
OTHER SUPPLIES
- Personal hygiene supplies (soap, sanitary supplies including 1 roll of toilet paper, toothbrush/paste, comb, sunscreen & insect repellant!!)
- Small First Aid kit
- Mess Kit in net bag for drying or Plate, Bowl, Mug, Fork, Knife & spoon in a net bag for drying
- Towel
- Cookies (one package/bucket of cookies per Family)these cookies will be asked for at kick off and used for a re-enactment later. they are not for consumption as snacks
No Knives, hatchets, ammunition, fireworks, face cards,
walkie-talkies, radios,
Discman, I Pods, MP3 players, electronic
toys, or anything else electronic!
*There are no safekeeping facilities -
cameras, musical instruments &
expensive items are discouraged Quest
will be recorded on video and pictures that will be made available for everyone
after quest

Wards are responsible for the tents and other sleeping and camp
arrangements.
Directions to Moroni’s Quest
You will need two sets of directions to get
all your people to where they need to be Quest morning. Do not worry, we will
have people and signs in place to give you directions if you get lost or have
questions.
The youth, tribeleaders, actors and other
support people who will be traveling through the wilderness with the youth
follow these directions;
From Valleyview;

South on rge rd 211 two miles to township

West to kick off location.
